Hundreds in Mississauga without water for more than a week

Hundreds of people in Mississauga are still without water for the eleventh straight day after an old pipe burst last week, and the residents could be without water for another week.
The town homes — 102 units in total — have been without water for more than a week after the main line supplying water to the complex was shut off due to a badly broken pipe.
The pipe is in such bad condition it has burst 17 times since crews first began working on it, and now the contractor in charge of the repair work says it could be another week before the water is back on for everyone.
But many families, left without a convenient way to drink or wash, are tired of waiting.
“It was terrible especially [because] I have three kids,” said Cheryl Domingo. “It's horrible, it’s very, very hard.”
Domingo and her children have been forced to spend the past week and a half bathing at her brother’s home.
Although management of the privately owned complex have been dropping off bottled water to each home, it’s not enough.
“They’re only giving us one case or bottle per day, it’s not enough a day …” Domingo said.
“I’m not happy at all, a lot of people are complaining.”
Many residents left their home days ago and have complained to the residential complex's board.
